Participant Information OMNIBUS NAPIERVILLE HORSE TRIALS
2012 All participants are
required to use entry forms available at Equine Canada web site: Equine
Canada - Eventing Competition Forms. In
addition, all participants must sign and attach with their entry forms the Release
of liability and acknowledgment of risk form. E-Z
Border Crossing Information for United States Competitors: To enter Canada on a temporary
basis for a horse trials, horse show or clinic you need to do only three
things: (1) make sure your horse`s Coggins test is current (6 months); (2) have your
vet come to your farm and issue the international horse health form;
and (3) obtain the signature of the U.S. federal vet either
through your vet or at the border during specific days and
times of the week published by U.S. Customs and Border ProtectionAPHIS.
Tips: Be certain (1) that all horse markings indicated on your forms are
accurate and consistent with the Coggins test
before your vet leaves your farm; (2) that your forms are in order several
days before you travel; and (3) cross the border during business hours. If
your paperwork is in order in advance of travel, you should not need to see
the Canadian
vets: |
